This is really beautiful. As a missionary in another part of the world, I feel these same feelings often in our little church here. And on occasion, especially during certain songs when the congregation is passionately singing, although in a different language that isn’t my first, my eyes well up and my throat gets tight, and I thank God for the opportunity to love Him in another language with people of another culture. It is a gift.

I loved reading this post!! It made me smile in my heart :)
When I was travelling in America I strongly desired to visit an African American church, but no-one seemed to desire to take me, or always had a quick answer that it couldn’t happen that Sunday :( I wanted to experience all that you did too, but sadly never got to. My background was initially all Acapella singing and sounds a little similar to yours in the worship style sense. I’m so happy you got to experience this, but even more, that you wanted too :) God can use a heart like yours to reach across all cultures. Bless you and your journey ~ Linda
