Summer is so quickly passing by. Our Bishop of Methodist churches has said not to have indoor services to protect the elderly and frail among us. Ozaukee County has 80,000 people total but Covid keeps raising from community exposure. One small Pentecostal Church near us used social distancing in the service and were over confident that indoor church was safe and they had no people testing positive. They had a birthday party at a home in the backyard all from the same church. One young man in his 20’s who had allergies was there. They ate in the back yard. A few weeks later 23 from this small church got Covid. Looking back they said that they caught up in a popular idea that the protecting hand of the Holy Spirit would protect them from Covid. Then remembered that God sends the rain on the just and unjust alike. This too will pass. Sincerely, Susan.
