It was nice. I will share some of my favorite pictures.
I will also tell you that I intended, last week, to write a follow-up post to my questions about the doctrine of separation and instead failed to post at all. I still hope to write that post later this week. For now, the pictures.
Next week, I’ll be sharing a guest post from Mary Burkholder, author of My Other Name Is Mom. “Something happened to me thirteen years ago that changed my life forever,” she writes. “I had a baby, and he made me a mother.” Mary has some smart things to say about motherhood. You will enjoy her post.
A few of you asked a while back for the recipes for moon pies and bread soup, which I mentioned in an earlier post about Oakland. My sister-in-law kindly shared the recipes with me, and I will be writing more about these traditional Amish dishes in a future post.
I also have an interview scheduled for a few weeks from now, where I will be learning the story of an amazing woman who was almost aborted as a child. However, God had other plans. She now has an advocacy ministry for children.
Kelsey and me. Who’s been walking barefoot over our driveway? Saffiticker’s has the BEST ice cream!
Having my parents and siblings visit brought some things together for me. The two worlds–the Kinsinger world and the Miller world–became for 2 days, in a small and measured way, one world. I like that when I talk to my mom now, about this place or that place, this person or that person, she will know what I’m talking about.
And still happy I changed worlds for this guy. Totally worth it.
You live in a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Great Pictures!!!
Thank you!
