Yes, very true, Marian, and thank you for this comment. I do want to clarify though, that HDR’s chronic illness is not mental or emotional in nature. My first introduction was misleading, and I’ve tried to clarify that now.

I have a church friend with a lovely husband, 4 healthy children, and a beautiful house. Yet, anorexia has been nipping at her heels for years. Thank you for noting this woman’s story here, a call to prayer and support. Fortunately, now mental/emotional problems that once were considered shameful, a moral failing even, are seen in a more realistic light.
