Yes, it was Lisl. I sent it off and then realized I hadn’t put in my name. You said nothing offensive at all about Grandma. :) Made me smile.

Is this Lisl? Now I’m going back to look at my description of your Grandma to see just what it is that I wrote. :) She is very sweet–and she probably was back then too–although in that strange way of children, I was terrified of her. But I remember her being a very thorough and effective teacher–we really learned well, and then she’d praise us for our good work. Yes, definitely cultivate that voice!

It can be a challenge to see ourselves the way God sees us at times. Yet even in that, I believe He understands us in our weakness. Wonderful post and sentiments.

Wish I could visit with her again. Every time I go back to the States, I think, “this could likely be my last visit with Grandma.” She’s 90 now, not an inch taller than me anymore I don’t think, a bit deaf, mellowed, and sweet. But you probably know that already. If you ever get an opportunity to visit with her, snatch it. Meanwhile, I tell my son to write neatly or, “I’ll erase it and you’ll have to write it all over again.” But I need to work on the terrible voice apparently.

That’s perfect! Especially for me, since I have this one nickname, Luci Goosey…I will remember that. :)
