I like that you brought up oxygen. Very true.

And 18 oak trees! They would be stately and beautiful…although I’m guessing all the acorns could be a hazard to bare feet and lawn mowers. Not to mention branches dropped through the roof. :)

I wish you joy and relaxation in your new home–it sounds lovely.

We are in the process of selling a home surrounded by 18 oak trees, one of the features that drew us to the property over 37 years ago. Only three oaks surround the new one, but there is a lake and conservation easement beyond. Love it all!

Yes, I can identify with “the royal pain” side too. After Hurricane Matthew we worked hours and hours picking up twigs, branches, limbs and had to have the roof repaired when a large branch punctured it – so much debris we had to hire someone to finish up.

At our age, we are happy to leave the “life in the park” and find a place with less maintenance. Your word pictures were spot on, Luci. Thanks!

That must be lovely. I love water, and any part of nature, really. I never want to live in a place where I can’t find at least a tree and little patch of grass or two. Glad you enjoyed the blog!

Marland, so glad you enjoyed this post. It’s a gift to be satisfied wherever you are–it’s easy to see from your photographs that you find interest and beauty in very diverse places and people.

Marland, I was curious to see where a city of 17,000,000 was so I googled. There are some very large cities out there! I have seen little of the world. I took a look at some of your photos and it appears you have seen much of the world…I enjoyed the mother/daughter and father/child ones, also the ones of Penna. I will take time later to look at some more.

Lovely blog!

As much as I like the woods, I did love living in a large city, with a population of 17 million people for 8 years. Actually, I am usually satisfied wherever I am. I also enjoyed the wilds of Northwest Ontario for 7 years!
