Thanks for respecting someone else’s treasures even when most ppl would have just tossed them out. I really enjoy your articles! You have such a talent for putting into words the deepest feelings of our hearts! God bless you!

I bought a rocking chair 40 years ago at a junky old furniture store. This was not a clean organized shop. This Mission Oak style chair had a cushion with sprung springs, filthy with dust. Warm Tiger Oak. The price was $35.00. My husband fussed all the way home about possible bedbugs, insisting this old chair does not come into the house until washed up and cushion removed. I thought about the former “sitters” in the chair. A mother rocking a sick child? A grandpa, widowed for many years, who needed a shave and a haircut. I picture him sitting alone and lonely? I always think of sad events for this chair. I decided I would never buy any more used furniture again as the “ghosts” of the former owners of this rocker have rented a space in my mind for free.

The children are growing quickly. They are just a delight to see. Age is a number. It’s the relationship that you have that is important. You are a busy mom. Life in general is busy. So if your posts wait, that is OK. Other things require attention. You can only do so much. Take care of yourself.

It takes time, hard work, woven in with each of our journeys of faith. You are doing a good job. Keep working at it. I wanted to share that my wife was 11 years younger than I was. Never any problem at all that I ever knew of. So you can put that at rest. Relationships never need to be based on age. I enjoyed sharing.

I can’t believe my youngest is now 50 years old. Time is just flying for me. I have no idea how I took care of 3 children born within 3 years and 3 months. I sewed my daughter’s dresses too. Sincerely friend Susan.

My children are now adults but of course will always be my babies!! My husband and I feel so blessed because our children are very close, always leaning on each other as needed. Their personalities are very different yet complimentary. Treasure those little ones as I know you and your husband do. Enjoy those simple yet life altering moments!

I’m glad you recognized your limitations in that season and didn’t force yourself to update just to satisfy the curious minds of the Reading Public. Please continue to take care of yourself!
