My brother is a butcher, too, although he no longer does it for a living. That slaughter floor – still gives me the creeps. It’s where life and death meet – so we can eat. Blessings to you as you clean and give it a sense of dignity. (No, I’m not an “animal rightist. I just hate killing things, although I’m not against it.)

Did I ever tell you I worked in a bologna processing plant? Well, I did. But I worked the packaging machine, never as the clean-up lady. You are giving the writing side of your brain a little rest, I guess.
