Asher Witmer’s Review of Anything But Simple

Asher Witmer is the author of one of my favorite blogs. He is both relevant and honest in writing about his own struggles in his Christian walk and about the struggles and needs of the Church as a whole. I love that he does not contain his words within the box of a certain denomination but makes them broad enough to include everyone. I also love that he is young, near my age, and that he is Anabaptist, because this makes me feel that I, a Millennial Anabaptist Christian, have a voice. He faces the same world I face and struggles with the same conundrums that leave me reeling.

In my own writing, I seldom delve into theology except at a personal and story-driven level, but I care about it very much. I seek knowledge and understanding to make life choices that honor God and are in obedience to Scripture. So I appreciate Asher’s gritty, Bible-based and Christ-seeking blog posts. I also appreciate that he is male, because in the blogging world I inhabit, there are more females than males. I like to hear from both.

Asher recently wrote a very honest and thorough review of Anything But Simple. He is offering a giveaway copy as well. Visit his blog to read the review, and comment there if you are interested in entering the giveaway.
