A Merry Christmas to you, too, Marlene! The friend Marlene I mentioned in this blog is Marlene Brubacher, from Ontario, Canada. I am not sure about the other Marlene Graber. That is someone I haven’t met in person, and if she commented, I probably thought it was you. :)

Just commenting to say that while I have a Mac (and love it!), I’d recommend starting with a used one. Depends on where you get it from, but you can often find ex-lease ones in good condition, and they last well (in my experience) if handled carefully. Also, it’s a LOT more affordable, and helps you to know what you prefer most. For me, I’m a bit of a Windows/Mac hybrid. I like doing some tasks on one, and some on the other, although my Mac is typically my go-to. :)

I think her last name is Graber also? I’ve seen her name in the comments before. I wonder if she is close at all to Sparta, WI, where I live??

I love to see pictures of your nieces and nephews, as they look so much like the older generation that I know better! Blessings, and have a Merry Christmas, Luci!

I know they cost more but they are reliable. They are not always going into the shop or whatever you call it. We have Dells at work and the IT people are kept busy with them, and our IT are all volunteers so that means if it doesn’t work we sit and wait. (I work for a church/school) I have and my 2 older children have iphones which you can get for pennies if you go with the older version. My husband and I use hand me down laptops of theirs…they all started with Mac when they began college because of the student discount. Aren’t you enrolled in classes now? You should look into the discount. Again, just my opinion, but years of trouble free virus free use is worth the extra price if you can manage it.

Your nieces do look very serious there, but I think I have seen them happily romping in other pictures. It is fun to have the younger generations around, whether they are your own or belong to others.
