Launch Day is successfully over. I didn’t take many photos, but I do like this shot of Barb– who I learned yesterday shares a birthday with my daughter–and my sister-in-law, Verda, who is holding Annalise in the photo.
You can read reviews and enter giveaways of Turtle Heart on two blogs right now.
Visit About My Father’s Business to read Bethany Eicher’s review.
And visit Three Green Doors to read Luci Martin’s review.
You may want to consider following their blogs as well. I really enjoy both these ladies for their honesty and openness in their writing.
You can also read an article in the local paper, the Garret County Republican, featuring me as an author. There’s something really special about being in a newspaper, especially a local newspaper. It makes one feel both seen and a member of a community. To read the article online, you will have to register by entering your email address, but you won’t have to pay anything.
I have a lot of thoughts banging around in my head, stirred up by Launch Week, but they will have to wait until another day and a few other deadlines behind me.
Thank you to all of you have commented on blogs or in person with words of encouragement and affirmation. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for me during this stretching time of my life. Specifically to those who prayed for me over my Launch Party…it couldn’t have gone better. A nice amount of people, but nothing overwhelming, and Annalise’s feeding times coincided exactly with the moments I was able to give her some attention.
God really does care about the details.
Locals, I have one more event planned this week. You are welcome to come to a book talk and signing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Ruth Enslow Public Library. Would love to see you there!
I wish I lived close, I’d come to your signing!!!
I order your book and can’t wait to read it!!
So glad your Launch Week went so well!ππ
Thank you! Launch Week isn’t quite over… I have the signing planned at the library, and I will be sharing a couple of more reviews/giveaways as well, but I feel like the biggest event is past and I can relax. I would appreciate your prayers for the signing tomorrow, that it would go well with Annalise. βΊοΈ
