In two months, she’s gone from this:
To this.
From this:
To this.
She’s adorable when she’s sleeping,
bright-eyed when she’s awake,
and she has a smile that is way too precious and alive to be captured on camera.
In her young life, she’s been on three overnight trips, two of which were weddings.
She also hiked to a waterfall, rode on a golf cart ride, and got her first ice cream at Saffiticker’s (though Daddy said she couldn’t taste it till she’s older).
Her adventures have not so far made her an adventurous child. Instead, she’s displayed a definite preference for home and routine living. She loves being held and “talking” to people as long as Mommy’s close by, but when Mommy left her for an hour to go to a chiropractor appointment, she cried as though her heart would break.
She spends happy minutes of every day with Grandma Dorothy just across the yard, and she’s already got to meet Grandpa Ted and Grandma Rose from Wisconsin several times.
She took 3-generation pictures with Daddy and Grandpa Jonas:
And 4-generation pictures with Mommy and Grandma Rose and Great-Grandma Wilma.
She’s been warmly welcomed by friends and community.
Mommy spends hours thinking about her developing personality…is she like Mommy? is she like Daddy? In this picture, Daddy wins.
It’s good to be back to blogging, you all! Hope you enjoyed this glimpse of Annalise’s early days. I’ll be back next week with more news to share.

Such an adorable little lady! Love her little Ukrainian dress!🥰
You recognize it! 😀
What’s the story of the Ukrainian dress? Is it the purple one?
Yes. :) The fabric came from a friend who’s been to Ukraine. No other story besides that my very sweet niece-by-marriage sewed it for me as a surprise.
That’s special. Thank you!
These pictures made me so happy! Please, keep posting more! I am eager to watch her grow & to learn more about her blossoming personality! So excited for your family! God bless you!
So happy to see pictures of YOU, Lucinda, with your daughter.
